Holiday Celebrations

Star Spangled Fireworks Extravaganza!
On the evening of July 3rd, the community comes together at the Municipal Center for a patriotic night celebrating the birth of our Nation! Festivities start at 6:00 PM. Fireworks start at 9:30PM.


Halloween Carnival
Families gather to celebrate Halloween at the Singleton Community Center with games, costume contests, candy and fun for ages 12 and under. The Haunted House tour will take you through the Singleton Community Center, built in 1918.


Bartlett Christmas Parade

Families gather to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season, cheering on the floats parading  the street. Community members and businesses can apply to enter a float in the parade for a chance to win the judges' vote.

Children's Fishing Rodeo
Do your children like to fish? The City of Bartlett is once again hosting the Children’s Fishing Rodeo for ages 12 and under at Appling Lake in the Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center located at Highway 70 & Appling Road in Bartlett. This is a great way to kick off the summer with your children. There will be prizes awarded in three age categories: 6 and under, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12 with one overall Grand Prize Winner. So bring your fishing pole and get ready to catch a lot of fish! This is a FREE event but you must register before fishing. Starting on June 1, you can pre-register at Gator Brown’s Bait & Tackle located at 6816 Highway 70 in Bartlett, (336-9699) or at the event the day of the rodeo.


Bartlett BBQ Contest & Car Show
A major attraction of the annual Bartlett Festival is the Bartlett BBQ Contest and the adjoining Car Show. The BBQ contest is sanctioned by the MBN Patio BBQ. The event is always held the last week in September.

Parks and Greenspaces

Bartlett continues to be known as a family-oriented community with clean and safe parks that are well-maintained and offer a variety of leisure and recreational opportunities as noted in the 2007 Master Plan. Today, there are 969 acres of land in Bartlett dedicated to parks and recreational uses.

The Parks and Recreation Department currently has 41 full-time staff members, 159 part-time staff members and four seasonal staff members. The staff does an exceptional job at maintaining a vast amount of park assets and providing a wide range of programming to the residents of Bartlett and beyond.
